Vintage to Art Deco Necklace with Antique Old Mine Cut Diamond Dangle Pendants on Chain French 18k White Gold Bezel Set OmC Minimalist
ABOUT:
Here's a versatile one to dress up or down. This 18k white gold vintage diamond necklace has a bezel set old mine cut diamond attached to a chain. From it dangles an additional old mine cut diamond in prongs to catch the light.
This would be beautiful in a neckmess with yellow gold chains to add a bit of sparkle, or it is lovely to wear alone for a more minimalist statement. With the pendant affixed to the chain, it remains front and center always while wearing.
I purchased this one in Paris. It has some goldsmith stamps but I could not find a purity mark. This is not terribly uncommon but it was sold to me from a reputable source as 18k white gold and tested in multiple places to confirm.
The clasp is more on the vintage side but the diamonds are definitely antique, possibly a situation where antique heirloom stones were reset in the vintage period.
Antique box, props, mice : ) etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
The necklace is 19 1/2 inches in length end to end.
The top diamond is about 4.8mm and about .4 carat. The bottom is a little 3.9mm cushion cut chunker measuring about .25 carat.
The necklace weighs 3.6 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds with some small natural inclusions, a speck or frosty spot here or there. No dark or glaring carbon spots.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
