ABOUT:
A bold French vintage natural pink tourmaline full eternity band. This one is crafted in 14k white gold with thirteen oval bezel set tourmalines all the way around. Estimates to around 5 carats total weight in natural gemstones.
I love this one especially for the varying hues to the tourmalines. You can kind of spin it around to what matches your outfit best : ). They vary in color from pale pink to dark pink, dusty rose to even a pink lilac color. Just beautiful hues to the piece. I have a station chain I just listed that this is so pretty with, even though they are different gems and were acquired from different places in France. Soft gem colors - so pretty!
Would be fun to nest above and below another diamond or gold band for a pop of color in a fabulous stack.
No hallmarks remain but sold to me from a reputable source as 14k white gold and tested to confirm.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4.
6.4mm north south by 4.1mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs 3.9 grams.
The stones are each about 5.7 by 4.2mm give or take. Depths vary and I would not remove them for exact carat weight but around 5 carats total for the ring.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Natural gemstones with some natural inclusions, some reflecting a bit of frost but gorgeous colors. A few have inclusions leading up to the surface leading to a crazing line seen only under very strong magnification. These are just natural characteristics of the stone. Others are eye clean. One stone has an inclusion that carries up leaving a small nick of loss, like a tiny crease, again seen only when studying the piece. It is in good condition considering eternity bands often show more wear when the palm of the hand comes into contact with surfaces. One stone moves in the bezel and can click when you tap it but will not come free. The others are all sturdily set. The setting with the bezels substantial. Gorgeous colors, fun to wear!
You'll see that I take some pics in the sunshine to highlight the colors and sparkles, but this also highlights the inclusions much more than is visible with normal wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
