PANSY Hands Holding Flower ACROSTIC? 18k Gold Victorian Gemset Ring Amethyst Garnet Emerald Sweet Figural Stacker Locket Back

PANSY Hands Holding Flower ACROSTIC? 18k Gold Victorian Gemset Ring Amethyst Garnet Emerald Sweet Figural Stacker Locket Back

ABOUT:
Now this one has a secret even to me and I don't know if any of you clever customer friends can help me? This adorable antique pansy ring seems to be an acrostic ring, with the mix of gemstones. It's just that I can't figure out what it says? Usually with 6 stones we see Regard. Versions with other numbers of stones sometimes read Darling, Dearest, Adore or Love.

The gems all test but I'm not sure which varietals were used. We have an emerald at the center, a garnet at the bottom. The purples I believe are Amethyst for the lighter and Iolite for the darker. Then we have the two pale greenish yellow stones. They look like chrysoprase or quartz to me, they test higher though in the Topaz range on a gem tester. Tough to say in the closed back settings but they are old cuts.

Lovely little ring with the hands presenting the pansy flower. No hallmarks, tests at 18k. I think it had a little locket back compartment at one time which is vacant now.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

It is a size 7 3/4. It weighs 1.9 grams.
The ring face is 8.6mm north south.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The gems are in good condition. A little spotting to the closed back settings seen mostly under magnification behind the lighter stones but no rust or muddiness. A few small nibbles, the emerald has one worn prong.
Gentler wear always recommended especially with closed back settings.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Thanks so much for looking at my items!
