Art Deco Natural EMERALD 1 Carat Tdw Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Chunky Green Three Stone Ring Platinum & 18k White Gold French Geometric Pinky
ABOUT:
Gorgeous green color with one carat of chunky old mine cut diamonds! This antique Art Deco piece was made and found in France. At the center is the rectangular emerald which is flanked by a chunky old mine cut diamond measuring almost half a carat on each end. Fun chunky cuts to the diamonds! Unique and eye catching north south setting to the three stone, with little diamond accents at each of the raised shoulder straps that lead up to the ring face.
All in an elegant pronged setting in great condition and ready for regular wear! It is crafted in 18k white gold and platinum. Note the small size, it makes an excellent pinky ring but with the prongs in good shape, this one should be sizable as well. Best to discuss with your local jeweler who would be doing the work to determine what extent they are comfortable with.
Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k gold and platinum.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 3 3/4.
Ring face: 17mm north south and 6.7mm tall off the finger.
Weight: 4.1g
The emerald is about 6.8 by 5.6mm. The diamonds are about 4.7x4.2mm each and a super chunky cuts at about half a carat each for a total of 1 carat in diamonds. This is an estimate as I would not remove the stones from the setting for exact measurements.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The emerald has a beautiful green color, just slightly on the pale side with some natural frosty inclusions within. A few flea bites and nibbles but the emerald is in good condition considering age as it has a nice sheen and polish and is not dull or matte finish.
The diamonds are typical in that they have a bit of warmth, one more noticeable than the other. They also have some natural frosty inclusions that are eye visible. One diamond has two areas of the girdle and one facet with an indented natural inclusion. The other also has one indented natural inclusion at the girdle edge that is triangular in shape and extends towards the pavilion. This is not damage but a natural characteristic of the stone that was polished around and appears as a sort of unpolished crease to the surface. The stones are not chipped or cracked and both appear complete in shape and form and fill the setting. One diamond also has a natural pocket inclusion that is round at center and surrounded by the tiniest smattering of carbon which appears as a frosty spot to the eye (the carbon not really being eye visible). The other has a linear fingernail shaped inclusion that is slightly eye visible. So these are typical antique diamonds with natural quirks.
Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it really lights up the inclusions to the emerald that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Setting is in excellent condition ready for regular wear with sturdy shank and prongs.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
